[Video] Tips 4 New Vloggers

The very first video I launched was back in 2011 in India during my first hotel review. It was at a Taj property in Bangalore, horrible quality, but because no one else was launching video back then with property reviews it really helped me to have a blog that was different from all the others. In fact, AngelasBangalore.com was India’s very 1st luxury travel blog and #1 on Google for 5 years. Since then I slowly starting launching more videos … this one is my 221st!

I probably should have taken a few classes but over the years I taught myself to vlog, how to edit and do marketing for my videos, and how to create videos that add value by helping people make real travel and buying decisions.  The biggest improvement came last year when I upgraded to a combo of my iPhone and a new Leica V-Lux (which I bought at YL Camera in Malaysia, they are the best here).  I also improved my music by subscribing to Epidemic Sound.  And I focused on improving my editing.

So with that in mind, imagine all the screw ups and fails I’ve had over the years! In this video I share a few tips on how to get away with shooting in public in almost any situation. How to shoot crowds without offending anyone. When it’s best to use a gimbal or selfie stick. And much more!

The Other Videos I Mention

My Leica V-Lux VLOGGING KIT

– RM 5,240, Leica V-Lux Camera with 4K video and 25 – 400mm zoom

– RM 430, RODE VIDEOMIC GO lightweight on-camera microphone

– RM 1,621, black on black Billingham Hadley One Bag that holds my laptop and all equipment (except tripod, but I will buy the straps to carry it).  I also ordered the amazing cushioned leather shoulder pad add-on accessory (that thing saves me since I wear mostly strapless or strappy dresses) and the full and half inserts so I’m flexible with what gear I bring.

At 21 I left uni, jumped into my Jeep Wrangler, and drove from my native California to live an adventure in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I've explored 37 countries on 4 continents, residing in 8 of them (currently Indonesia's Riau Islands is my home). I even have a private pilot's license and was shot at once by bandits!
