On your next trip to Chennai, head down south to Vivanta by Taj Fisherman’s Cove for an amazing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. This is an amazing resort located right on the water that is the perfect spot for Sunday brunch, or of course to disconnect for a few days. I only spent an afternoon on the property but there were women sunbathing in bikinis at the pool and people enjoying themselves at a swim up bar INSIDE the pool. I didn’t see any stilettos so it didn’t resemble Nikki Beach but who cares, it’s fabulous!! And I discovered a new cocktail there, the Champagne Julep! It’s Champagne with mint and lime, and it’s my new favourite (except I can’t find anyone who makes them as well as that mixologist sadly).
Fisherman’s Cove is absolutely breathtaking. I want to return and stay in one of the beach front private villas, number 35 looked like the one for me.
